Hello February
Sunday, February 16th, 2020 06:06 pmIt's been a while since I last logged in. As of today 2/16 @ 6.08pm (geez) I am writing that I have a new temp assignment with Robert Half. I will have to let Nadia know I can't proceed with RGIS inventory as a temp, and I would like to approach Doug of RGIS if I can get a direct part time job with them but only on weekends.
So first things first. I finally connected with Daniella of Accountemps/RHI and they are putting me on assignment in Carteret doing data entry. Standard 9 - 5 hours. Not so bad. I could do with some consistent work so I can ease off of the unemployment. But at same time I have to find work on my own , no more using temp agency as a prop.
But let's focus on what we can do on the job first thing tomorrow on my first day.
2 - I love my salsa dancing. the only thing that helped kept me sane the past month. (And learning a new dance routine). Would it not for the Tuesday salsa and the Saturday Latin fitness class, I would still be doing the same stuff I have been doing off my head the last 10 years. And I do not want to go into that mindset again. I am committed of wanting a different result this year and I am committed to learning things even if it is outside my lazy comfort zone.
3. last week i did inventory with RGIS via Ajilon, and climbing that tall ladder at Bed Bath Beyond was freaky scary but I calmed myself and managed to get the work done. As well as being mindful of me getting vertigo because I didn't eat anything, it was a patient process that I had to go through. All in all, give and take a few miscounts (due to the brain being tired) I think I will be fine...
4. I am in the process of reading Al Quran everyday. I have been doing so since Jan 1 of this year. My goal is to read 1 juz a day, and if I'm unable to, at least 1 Surah. My QUran reading skills are rusty and it is a concern. Since I don't think I've read the Quran in over 40 years, that's a lot of lost years and appreciation of the language and the reading as well. So I am using the Is Tafsir Quran reading app and follow it as it is being read. My goal is to complete the Quran with the app and then start again this time reading with my own voice. And see where it takes me the whole year.
It's also to exercise my brain cells away from the fog. I am so scared I will get Alzheimer's or lose my memory which I prize so much, The root of my existence.
5. Lastly our friend from Brunei... what can I say. A whole blog on him in the next writing session.
and DYTM Abdul Mateen has his jabgym business up and running in Brunei, his promo video is dead wicked on IG! :)
