Happy April spring
Saturday, April 7th, 2018 06:39 pmSeems I have not been on this blog since October last year.(EEEK). Well, a few things happened since my last entry:
1. I was in Mexico - (Mexico City, in fact) for the first time ever, for the IL Fast Track Conference in February. I love Mexico. (The Conference, not so much, but more on that later). Actually I LOVE Mexico City. What a mysterious, amazing big city it is. Way more cooler than NYC.
2. Jamie left the company on March 9, 2018. Since then Dioman and I have been running the show. So much so, we are so tired out by 1pm most days. In fact I am so tired that I literally snooze in front of the computer when I sit here at 5pm. Too much strain on the eyes and the brain all day.
3. With Jamie gone, I am now the go-to gal in the warehouse for ALL receiving furniture inventory. Somedays it's great when people see and recognized you, other days, sometimes I just want to be left alone and undisturbed.
4. My freelancing gig on Upwork finally took off and I am now on my third assignment. I got my first client in February, one in March, and #3 currently, just yesterday. It's a blast doing different kind of jobs. Winton might be on to something when he said that Upwork could be the jump start to your new life decade. If I think this freelancing gig as as a business career, maybe I might be able to get out of the work life sooner, and finally get to do the kind of work I am interested in. Hmmm. Now that's an amazing thought.
