Just free flowing

When you feel sometimes you are in doubt and am uncertain where to go, journaling is a good way to express yourself. I am trying to get my thoughts in writing, so work can move freely, but I admit I am stuck now. Trying to get your brain to move when it’s almost impossible to do so feels like I am pushing against a brick wall. So, I am going to just free flow and see where this will lead.

At this hour (8.28am, Tuesday dated Oct 16, 2018) I am freelancing and focusing on what I have, i.e. ability and time to create a freelancing business. I can make a side hustle out of this and I’m just going with the flow as to when and how things move.  My game plan is to write and bid for jobs on UpWork 2x a day, so I am writing samples for UpWork. I am creating a sample every day – both creative writing and article writing on specific topics, so I could quickly bid on Upwork job without spending too much time on it.

I read somewhere one needs to wake up early, or at least find the quietest time possible to create output. And to create within a short time span since the human being is not designed to focus for more than 30-40 minutes at a time. So, for me, the challenge is to do the “deep work” in a quiet zone and then when that “deep work” is done, I can continue the rest of the day with activities such as reading, meditating, housework and-- activities that require less brain power.

Of course, I feel like I am repeating myself in cycles over and over sometimes, so I must be mindful when that happens. And take periodic rest periods. And don’t forget to EAT! The brain needs food for fuel, so it’s very important to have a good meal before these periods! Kind of like when I was an undergraduate student years ago - I feel a lot better after I have had food for brain fuel.
